I enjoyed all of the groups. Just watching such talent like the old Star Search or even as far back as the Ed Sullivan show. It's nice to see Great Family entertainment. All that said, I sang in school from grade school through high school. In high school we sang in an a cappella group known as Madrigals. When I heard the Whiffenpoofs say they invented a cappella I was instantly turned off by them. Madrigal singers go back to the renasance period and beyond before them I am sure they were singing a cappella. So now the bar was set very high for them to win me over. They impressed me more than I thought they would and I would love to see them anytime, love and enjoy there work and all those with such talent to sing with out accompaniment but they like myself back then (no I was never near as good but) were just performing. Two of these groups stand out above all others because they have there heart and soul in it. The group Committed and Sidewalk Symphony. My vote and thoughts believe Sidewalk will take the show, I think they are much more marketable.
No slam or disrespect intended to the Whiffs they are talented and a joy to watch, just my thoughts on the article and show. by the way thanks for the blog and your remarks.
PF

I was sorta messing about on Hulu and the show cau...

I was sorta messing about on Hulu and the show caught my eye. So... I watched a bit and I admit the concept was interesting only as I watch 'Glee.' I was blown away by the Whiffenpoofs. Yes, their performance was "something" for sure. That being said, I'm not very impressed with the other groups as much as I am by this one. The beatbox style doesn't do much for me. I do enjoy those Southern fellas, but they stay true to their art it seems. That rings through with both groups. I'd love to see the Yalies perform. I didn't even know about the group, so I'd say it was a brilliant P-R move for them.

KEEP ROCKIN' WHIFFENPOOFS!

This is the first time I watched Sing-Off.
